Marry Someone You Admire. Here’s Why.
Do not go too far away from what you like in a person. Character is often overrated.
A lot can be done about one’s character with time, but not much can be done about admiration/looks.
It’s much easier to tolerate or forgive someone you admire than someone you don’t.
When you admire someone, his/her nonsense makes sense. The opposite is the case with someone you don’t admire. Even his/her best action can irritate you.
Marriage is such a long journey to be trapped with someone you don’t feel anything for or admire at all.
Research has shown that marriages that survive crisis are usually the ones where two people naturally admire each other.
But the ones where people marry for one selfish reason or another such as profession, family background, tribe, connection or money, are usually the first to pack up when faced with even the slightest of problems.
When you are with someone you admire, even when you are angry, you still admire him/her and it makes dispute settling easier. But when you are with someone you don’t admire, your anger gets even worse with the sight of him/her.
